Comprehensive Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation consists of a variety of assessment tools used to determine the strengths and weaknesses in a child’s overall communication. The assessment can include:
Parent Interview
Review of Medical/Developmental History
Oral-Mechanism Exam
Formal Standardized Measures
Informal Observations
Behavioral Observations
Once the evaluation is completed preliminary results from the evaluation will be discussed. The speech therapist will then gather information from the evaluation and summarize it into a formal report. Based on those findings the speech therapist will determine the necessity for services. If your child qualifies then a plan of care will be developed, and treatment will be scheduled. Each child is unique; therefore, evaluations and therapy plans are based on each individual child’s skills and needs.

What is the difference between parent coaching and speech therapy?
Parent coaching educates parents and caregivers, by providing developmental and speech therapy strategies to helps their child’s speech and language development.
Speech Therapy includes direct one on one intensive services for your child that treat speech and language disorders. These services are provided one to two times per week and are done on a continuous basis until the areas of delay have been remediated.
TeleTherapy
How does Speech Teletherapy work?
Teletherapy services are almost identical as in person services except for therapy being completed through an online platform. Through video calls our certified therapists provide therapy in the comfort of your own home.
